Yesterday, we attended Weiwei’s birthday celebration at the Natatorium.
A pity the party lasted only an hour. The adults didn’t have enough time
to catch up with one another, but Skylar was a happy boy running around
with his balloon.

Prepping for our long day of shopping:-
Kate Spade was having some unbelievably great deals that weekend. My hands were a little too slow. I want to go back in Sep!
It was utter madness in Coach!
Skylar needed a new hat for the summer. I thought he looked cute in this, but Yifan hates anything camo-style.
I don’t know why Skylar kept doing his Popeye mouth when we tried on the hat.
It is back-breaking travelling with a toddler. He wants to walk, and he wants to touch everything that is within reach.
Yifan gets a kick out of making Skylar try on caps and hats, as you shall soon realise.
Taking a much-needed break in his stroller:
He walked so much on this trip that he had blisters on his feet!
More cap/hat- trying, and that Popeye mouth!
And then it was Skylar’s turn to shop!
Father and son busy taking pictures while I was looking for clothes for Skylar.
And another cap!
Before I knew it, Yifan had him in this:-
!@#@!$@# Yifan!!!!! Skylar is a BOY!
After a long and tiring day ( but also very fruitful), we were happy to leave.
Skylar was always ready with a smile each time we sneaked peeks at him. The following pictures show exactly how it is like when we check on him every now and then—first when he is calm and just chillin’ in his seat, and then breaking into a huge smile when he notices us.
Dinner at Texas Roadhouse
Before we knew it, we were nearing the end of our trip.
At a rest area …
this is weird. Just what were we doing?
And finally, a young child in the wilderness?
