I’m Gonna Miss You

In less than 2 hours, we will say ‘goodbye’ to our beloved car- the IS 350. Thank you for faithfully serving us these past 3 years. We will forever cherish the wonderful memories we shared together, and miss everything about you —your 307 HP, your sleek, smoky granite exterior, and black leather interior, the sunroof that never fails to amaze Skylar… Alas, the time has come for us to trade you in for a bigger (albeit, slower) car, since our family unit is growing. Nevertheless, you will always have a special place in our hearts, because you were the first car Yifan and I shared. ( sorry SC400!)

Wassup

The past few weeks have been crazy, to say the least-- I brought Skylar on play-dates; we went to the splashground; we went car-hunting, and then Skylar came down with roseola last week.

At the splashground/playground:-

A few days ago, I was happily surfing internet while enjoying breakfast at the same time, and had totally forgotten that Skylar was sitting behind me in his highchair because he was so quiet.

Suddenly, I heard him say “Eeee”. I turned around, and saw this:-

Moral of the story: Whenever he gets too quiet, be sure to check that he is not up to some mischief. I should have known. Some months back, I was in the bathroom, when I felt something was not quite right—Skylar didn’t come looking for me like he usually would. There was a strange quietness, until I realised what he was doing—sitting by the bed, and pulling out all the tissue paper from the box, and then giving me a ‘ deer caught in headlights’ look when he saw me.

Kids! Don’t you just love ‘em?

Of Food and Fun-times

I lead an “exciting” life right now—I meet new people every now and then ( at play-dates and other functions), join in cooking/makan sessions, that sometimes I get tired, and feel I need to take a raincheck.

Circus Circus

We didn’t get a chance to sleep in after our housewarming party because WE WERE GOING TO THE CIRCUS!

I don’t remember the last time I was at the circus, so I was really excited about it. Send in the clowns!
