Shopping!

Just read:

And watched:

Going shopping with a young baby in tow requires a lot of prep work. We started out with a diaper bag, but have since migrated the essentials ie diapers and baby wipes to my tote bag. Bottle-feeding the little one when we are out has its inconveniences -- looking for really hot water to warm up the milk and doing that in the shortest possible time( or risk a screaming baby, in public, no less), ensuring that the milk stays cold when out... all that has made me decide that nursing is the way to go.

Changing diapers in public, however, is still a daunting task for me. I had my first experience with that at the Dallas Auto Show last weekend. I was nervous to say the least. Skylar almost always pees whenever I am in the midst of changing his diapers, and while he had spare clothes in the bag, I had not. That day was my lucky day, though. All went well, although Yifan could hear Skylar's screams while waiting outside!! ( I really really wanted Yifan to go into the Ladies to help me do the diaper change!) So today, after a feed and a poop that came almost immediately after, I made Yifan change Skylar right there and then-- in the car.

Some pictures from today--

I luv shopping for baby clothings

a rare moment-- no screaming baby!
