Roald Dahl

My V- Day present came in the form of a book showcasing some of Roald Dahl's best stories. Though it arrived on 15 Feb, and was never meant to be a V- Day present, to me, it had even more significance and love attached to it than a bouquet of tulips would have.
I finally understood what was more important-- to receive flowers and chocolates on that one day, or to feel loved becos someone special actually bothered to order a book that I like knowing that miserly me would never have parted with the money. And note, the order at Overstock.com was placed days before V-Day, with never the intention of the book being a V- Day present. It was just a thoughtful thing that someone special and who cared enough would do. That little action alone was more powerful than a candlelight dinner, flowers and chocolates put together.
