First, Break All The Rules What the World's Greatest Managers Do Differently
by Marcus Buckingham & Curt Coffman
It's a really old book, first published in 1999 i think. It's something Yifan brought here from Singapore. The pages have all turned yellow with age, and I dun even know if the theories are still applicable in this day and age. The only reason why I started on the book: there is nothing else to read at home. The reason why I am STILL reading it: It is actually quite an interesting and informative book.

Remember i said i didnt recognise the brand " Mudd" in my previous post? Apparently, it's quite a "branded" label. Of course, I had to find that out from Yifan when he came back from work yesterday, and by then it was already too late to go get the clothes. Urghh!
I must really keep my eyes open the next time i go out.. to the malls, to happening places, to anywhere. I think I am always the last few to hear of the latest gossips, the latest trends, and the latest what-have-yous. Mostly cos when I do go out, my mind is just fixed on accomplishing whatever it is I had set out to do. Like when I go to the mall, I just sit myself comfortably in one of the armchairs in B & N, read for hours, and then go home. No loitering in the stores, no window-shopping. Occasionally, i go into the departmental stores, but it is always only to check out the Clinique and Biotherm counters. I have never explored the unfamiliar and the unknown.
I hardly pay attention to people around me too. That's another reason why i am usually oblivious to trends and happenings. I get too engrossed with my food when i eat, i dun even know how the guy sitting at the next table looks like. I remember once I was at Mos Burger with KW, and she told me that there were 2 gay men sitting at the next table. I asked how she knew that. She said they were holding hands at the table. Ermm, how come i didnt notice anything? And i definitely didn't see her looking left and right too. I can never pay attention to others without looking too obvious. I think I seriously lack situational awareness skills. If there's ever a crime happening near where i am, i probably wouldn't be the best eye-witness.

Wedding bells may be ringing soon for a friend of mine. Well, not soon like within the next few weeks, but soon like sometime towards the end of next year. I am happy for him. I am definitely surprised, but REALLY REALLY happy.
