CNY Day 1

It is the first day of the Year of the Pig, and already I am feeling so tired. First, there was the "reunion dinner", and then we had an all-night blackjack marathon at Gerard & Lin's place and I only managed a 30 minute nap at 9am. Anyhow, I won $24 ... and that didn't come easy!! Well, at least Yifan and I were the only sane people who knew when to stop, and how to stash some money away while the going was good. Yifan broke even eventually when he was roped in for Round 2 this morning ( and I thought we could go shopping with his $100 profit.. damn).

The house is HUGE! I mean it's really really enormous, with 5 bedrooms, dunno how many bathrooms, and 3 dens, not forgetting the big living room in the centre of the house. I would have taken some pics of the place had I not been so lazy and my phone battery not at close-to- empty level.

Spending CNY in Texas is really boring, although it seems like the entire chinese population is out in full force today, cos every single restaurant was packed. We did manage to catch the lion dance performance at the Vietnamese restaurant during lunch, though. I still think DHS lion dance troupe is way better.

I think I need forty winks before we leave to get some groceries for our steamboat dinner tonight. I am exhausted.
