A Milestone

Skylar has learnt how to drink with a straw!

About two weeks ago, he finally got the hang of using the sippy cup. This was after many months of practice with both the sippy cup and the straw cup. Until recently, he either was totally disinterested, or he would prefer chewing on the spout. Then one day, I noticed he was actually drinking from the cup. Hurrah!

And because he started really late on the sippy cup, his transition to drinking with a straw was a really short one( just 10 days!). The day he turned 17 months old, I gave him his straw cup just for the heck of it. The next thing I knew, I heard him choking on the water. You can’t imagine how happy I was!
