~ currently doing some research on exotic cars to drive in and around Vegas and also to Grand Canyon
~ can't really decide-- should it be the Porsche Boxster or the Z4? hmm.

that's the Boxster. oohh, baby!

and the Z4.
still trying to source for better bargains. the rates we found only include 100 miles of driving which is DEFINITELY not enough for us to drive all the way to Grand Canyon, and then it's $0.49 per mile after that!!! so doing a quick calculation for a 5 hour drive to Grand Canyon, it's gonna cost us a bomb. worse come to worse, we will rent a cheapo car like the Ford Taurus for that, and then some sporty roadster to cruise around the boulevard after that. makes sense??
some of the cars are priced so ridiculously high-- like this one for instance:

it's the 360 Ferrari Spider-- the convertible version of the Modena. 3.6 litre, and with a V8 engine. now, if i recall correctly, my lexus is also a V8, but that's just a lexus. anyhow, the price tag for the Spider -- $1499 for a day. wooh. but it is BEAUTIFUL.
~ reading all about the buffets in vegas:Rio, Bellagio and the Spice Market in Aladdin are some of the more popular ones. but again, they are not cheap. the seafood buffet at Rio is $34.99, and you get free flow of lobsters, prawns, alaskan crab legs, mussels blah blah, not to mention the scrumptious spread of desserts. the price is actually pretty reasonable, except that for the two of us, it's gonna come up to $70 excl tax and tip. and that seems like a lot of money. so, you may guess that i am kind of in a dilemma right now-- to eat or not to eat?
other than the car and the buffet, all else is pretty much settled:
it's gonna be a 4 day 3 nite trip at the Luxor Hotel. (hopefully we can be upgraded to a nicer/ better room since it's MY birthday ;p and upgrading seems like the norm) we've already booked tickets for "O" , the performance by Cirque du Soleil, and i've also made a list of places i want to visit while there.. like the Venetian, Paris, New York New York, Caesars Palace... but mostly the Venetian cos i once saw a travel program on it and the place was absolutely beautiful.
call me silly, but i am soo excited about the trip, i feel like packing my bags already. this is, after all, our first real trip since we came here, not counting those trips to NY, Chicago, Rhode Island, and the visit at Kevin's in Maryland. wheeeeeeee.....
