my first shoot

we went to Plano yesterday morning for a " photoshoot". alright, it's more a TFP lah. yifan wants to learn how to take better portraits of me, so he got a guy to take pics of me at his home.

Scott lives in a beautiful house just minutes away from Stonebriar Mall, and has a " studio" in his dining area. so we posed and clicked for hours. and i really mean hours -- 9am to 2pm. no stopping for lunch becos his wife didnt ask if we wanted her to buy back for us..:( my stomach was growling throughout, but luckily Scott didnt hear it, otherwise i would be so embarrassed. but i was not alone. i heard yifan's stomach growl too.

So i was the " model", Scott the photographer, and yifan was the art director. he loves doing things like arranging my hair, making sure that nothing was out of place etc etc. i think Scott was amused by that. and being the newbie that i am, i have absolutely no clue about posing. Scott was trying to tell me what to do, and yifan stood behind him showing me how i should stand, and what i should do with my arms. it was a comical sight !!! and believe me, yifan can POSE. after all, i always tell him that he is the model, or as i say " Mo- DELL" becos "models" are what those girls in clubsnap call themselves after posing one time for aspiring photographers, whereas yifan is the true-blue fashion model. hahha.

anyway, i didnt really like the pictures but the whole experience was quite fun, although there were times when i thought i pulled a hamstring, or sprained my butt. not that the pictures turned out bad, but i guess angmos have a different approach to taking portraits. we were more used to seeing pictures taken by asians that are more " washed out" , or i think the word for that is " high-key" (sp).

did i mention that Scott has a cat in his house, that looks like a leopard with the spots??? yucks, thinking about it now sends shivers down my spine. for the most part, the cat stayed out of the way, but as we were about to pack up and leave, the cat seemed to sense it, cos suddenly it was jumping around, dashing around here and there, and i think i might have let out a tiny scream. *blush*

oohhh, and i curled my hair towards the end too. i think i look nice with slightly curled hair. yifan says NO to perming though cos " it will spoil your hair". ya, i know, so i guess i'll just stick to using the hot curlers every now and then.
