Alter Ego

there have been some unidentified transactions on my debit card. i just lodged a dispute with the bank. apparently, there is some direct debit going on every month for $19.95 that i have no knowledge of... to an oil company in Utah. now that is very strange.

first, the company is a joint alliance between a wireless internet company, a trucking company and an oil company. somehow, it had obtained my debit card number and has been charging me every 15th of the month. i overlooked it the first time the bank statement came, but caught it a few days ago when the latest statement arrived.

in the meantime, the bank will return the money to my account, and carry out their own investigation.

i am starting to lose confidence in the small banks here. i would stick to just citibank if not for the fact that we need a standby one that is close to home.

really need to keep a closer tab on my bank accounts from now onwards. imagine $19.95 a month, and i only realised it in the 3rd month !!!
