we bought tickets for Batman but ended up watching " Mr & Mrs Smith" in Sherman last night. somehow, we managed to walk into the wrong cinema hall.

okay, let me start by giving a brief intro of the cinema. it's a relatively old and small cinema, with lots of individual halls side by side. after we got the tickets ( and they are real cheap at $1 each, wednesdays at $0.50 !!!), we proceeded to what we thought was Hall 5. sat there for a whole 15 minutes watching trailers of upcoming movies, when suddenly Brad Pitt's and Angelina Jolie's faces came onto the screen. now silly me was still thinking that they were just showing clips of their " Smith" movie. yifan whispered that we had gone into the wrong hall. huh?!! too late. by then we had already missed about half hour of Batman ( we were actually late for the movie already). fine, we'll watch Brad and Angelina then. though i didnt really want to, cos i dun like Angelina Jolie.

at the back of our minds, we were thinking that we were so sure we went to Hall 5, and the old lady usher must have told us the wrong hall. urgghhh!!! i even saw the number 5 before i walked in, so we can't be wrong. as it turned out, we were wrong. the usher did tell us the right place to go to. it's just that the halls are so close to each other, that there is only one entry per hall. we saw the number, and instinctively thought both entrances lead to the same hall, like those in singapore. conclusion: our fault.

luckily, the movie wasn't too lousy. but as usual, i had a lot of questions after that. like why were the assassins not in bullet-proof vests while brad and angelina were? and why did they change into the mannequins' clothes? maybe i should just stick to watching romance movies, cos they are so much easier to understand, and make more sense to me. " Must Love Dogs" starring John Cusack and Diane Lane looks good. it'll probly be quite a while before the movie gets to the $1 cinema, though.

talking about that, the screen had a tear in it, the curtains had to be manually drawn apart by this guy who walked up to the front, the sound system wasnt fantastic, parts of the film seemed like there were scratches on it, but overall, it was good. i mean, what do you expect for a dollar? i got the gist of the entire story, and that's what matters. and it's not like we are movie buffs, so i say, let's go again soon. and this time, it'd better be Batman. :)
