yay! i am so happy that citibank finally came to this part of the US. for a while, we had to make do with First United Bank, which is a small local bank, just across the street from my house.
one of the disadvantages of moving house so frequently is that we have to find out where the nearest bank is, or open new bank accounts. it wasn't that bad in New England where citibank is everywhere, but in the central, nah. so good news when i learnt that First American Bank has just recently been bought over by citibank.
when we went to the branch yesterday, the whole place was so quiet, we were the only customers. but then, most times, banks in the US are pretty empty, unlike UOB or DBS in singapore. mabbe becos people dun save much here, so they dun need to go to the banks often ??!! since all they need is the ATM. in fact, with the widespread use of credit cards here, i dun think people even use the ATMs much.

there's a hot air balloon fest in Plano tomorrow. it's supposedly a rather huge affair, drawing crowds of more than 100,000 people each year. we should be going too. hopefully the weather's going to be fine, otherwise, no balloons again.
it's been raining since morning, and my satellite signals are lost again. this is like the 5th time this has happened in the 2 1/2 months that we've lived here, so that's pretty often. we may seriously consider switching back to cable once the free HBO offer is over.
