Alter Ego

it feels like i am back in New England. the weather has suddenly turned cold, and the wind is just howling. i think the temperature has dropped overnight to the mid-70s from yesterday's scorching 100. ( which is good cos i miss the cold)

i experienced my first thunderstorm in Durant last night. it was so bad that i lost the satellite signal on tv, so had to go to sleep. i think the winds must have been very very strong, cos this morning when i woke up, the front door was totally open !!! OMG, and we had locked it the night before.there was a huge dog outside our estate yesterday morning, and my first thought was " oh shit, a dog or cat might have made our house its home last night". thankfully, no animals were found, and everything in the house was intact. but now that i have seen for myself the powers of the winds here, i am a little worried. July is a month of hurricanes and thunderstorms in the US. what if the door opens again?
