Alter Ego

woke up to a rainy friday morning. i kinda miss the rain and the rumbling thunder. and at least it provides some respite from the scorching heat that we have been getting for the past weeks. it's pretty rare to hear the thunder in the US. sure, it rains in MA and CT, but it's the quiet sort of rain-- no thunder, no lightning, but those rains last for hours.

xiuzi must be out enjoying the last hour of her bday.. have a good one!! oh, and congrats on that new job. that means our msn chit-chat sessions will be reduced to once- a-day kind from now onwards ... :(
* baah* but i want to know all about your job, your colleagues, your workplace, the eating places around the office etc.. ;P

what else? hmm, we were at the bank yesterday opening an account, and started talking to someone there. he mentioned that there's an opening in the branch where he works, and suggested i see some people if i were interested. i AM !!! so this afternoon, i'll be going down to the main branch and find out more. hopefully, this time around i wun get disappointed again. i am pretty confident about interviews and all, but when the topic about me being authorised to work here is brought up, things just collapse. saying that it is demoralising to get turned away purely becos of visa issues is an understatement. well, nothing much i can really do about it except to keep my fingers crossed. wish me luck!!
