Alter Ego

it's way past my bedtime but i am still blogging becos i just got home, showered and am waiting for my hair to dry.

as planned, we went for the car show in Bedford. definitely not worth the 2 hour drive there, cos firstly, there wasnt much of a crowd there, and so not much fun, and also becos it wasnt what i had in mind. luckily we didnt purchase the tickets online cos it's a free car show. apparently, someone just wanted to make a quick buck selling " tickets" online. hmph.

there is this restaurant called " Aw Shucks" in dallas that we went for dinner. it's an unusual eating place cos you don't get a bill for what you order, but instead, you inform the cashier of what you had ordered when you leave, and you just pay for that. no tips. everything based on trust and honesty. Cool eh? it's actually an oyster bar, but we didn't try the oysters. we were too full from the summer platter which consisted of prawns, dungeness crab legs, sausages, corn, potato and a basket of buffalo wings. maybe next time?!! oh, and the place doesn't even look like a restaurant. it's more like a shack serving food. and an old shack at that !! the food was wonderful, though. i want to go there again.

on the way home, we decided to drop by Choctaw casino. it was a bad decision. came home $85 poorer. now i am a little sad ( hahah, cos its my first time gambling at a casino, and i don't take losses very well). and stupid vietnamese people making so much noise at the Blackjack tables.

i think it is going to be a while before i step into a casino again. must recover from the setback first. heheh. plus right now, i am still thinking of what i could have done with that $85 ... hmm, some A & F tees, another dinner at Aw Shucks, an ice-skating session...sigh!!!

hopefully i can sleep well tonight. * wink*
